I’m so excited to announce the new CD, “All Forgotten Things(AFT)” is being pressed as I type this blog and the CD release show is approaching quickly! The date is set for January 6th, 2012 at ADVENTURE CHURCH in Roseville, CA. I will be performing with a full 5 piece band (Jesse Lendzion, Brian Helvick, Steven Kent, Horatio Cota) who are also the musicians who performed on the new record. The bands that will be opening are The Reel, Lybecker, and The Sinners Songs.

The first 500 people who attend this event will receive a FREE copy “All Forgotten Things” with admission at the concert. Everyone that has pre-ordered the record at shows or via kickstarter will also receive a free ticket to the event.

This concert will hopefully be the last leg on raising all the funds needed to cover the costs for the record, so please come, bring family/friends, share to all you know, and keep this event in your prayers that it will make much of Jesus!

This coming Friday, October 14th, I will be going into the studio with my band to record the rest of my new full length album, “All Forgotten Things”. I’m simply put, unequivocally excited about this! Although the record is only 41% funded via Kickstarter, I’m taking a leap of faith to what God’s called me to do, and I’m going to record the Album anyways.

Hey everyone! Josiah James here and I need YOUR help. I’m wanting to record my new record, “All Forgotten Things”, but I have reached a road block and am unable to finish it due to lack of funds.

It was about 3 years ago that I recorded my last full length album, “The Morning Light”. I’ve taken a lot longer then I desired to record a second full length due to not having the budget for it. My goal in raising the money is to fund the recording, producing and printing of this album. Think of this as a pre-order of the CD. By giving now, you will be an integral part in guaranteeing that this project will happen and hopefully be successful!

A lot goes in to making an album happen. From renting the studio, paying the producer, mixing, mastering, art design & manufacturing. I set my budget at $12,000 which will cover all the basic expenses of recording. I’m needing $4,000 via this kickstarter to meet the rest of this goal.

The idea behind the album theme and title, “All Forgotten Things”, is that we all from time to time, like Israel, forget what God’s done for us, and we tend to stray away in small and/or large ways. We forget His love, His holiness, His goodness, and worst of all, that He is capable of saving us. This album will be a tool used to remind Christians of God’s promises and to share the love of Jesus to those that don’t know His saving love.

Since this is going to be a high production record, all your prayers possible would also be hugely needed and appreciated!

Hello everyone! Sadly I have not updated my blog in quite some time. There has been a lot of exciting stuff happening: Tours, Writing, Recording, Festivals, and more!

In February I recorded a new single called “Open Your Eyes” that was inspired by the fight against human trafficking. I released the single on itunes in March and decided to donate all the money made from “Open Your Eyes” to the organizations IGM and C2BU.

In the past few months I’ve done multiple tours. In February I flew out to Colorado and did 2 weeks of shows around the state. After getting home from the Mountainous state, I went on a tour with some of my good friends, Lybecker and Esterlyn during March and April throughout on the West Coast.

In June I had the opportunity to play mainstage at Illumination Festival in Red Bluff with Jars of Clay, Phil Joel, and Addison Road. After the festival I flew out to Denver, CO and played music for a camp full of 85 a foster kids. It was an awesome time to share Jesus with a bunch of kids! Soon after the camp I was picked up by my buddies, Blood & Water. We are currently on tour and had some rad shows in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and played Mainstage at Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, IL with Anberlin, Blindside, Gungor, and Robbie Seay Band.

We are currently in Nashville, TN enjoying time hanging out with friends and lit up some rad fireworks last night for 4th of July with buddies from Bleach and News From Verona. We’ll be trekking back to California in a few days.

Alot of new stuff is happening in my end of the world. Planning on some exciting new tours and recording my next EP.

This coming March I will be touring with some of my best friends, Lybecker around the west coast. If you haven’t checked out Lybecker’s music before, you’re really missing out! I’ll also be bring my band on board for a few dates (Tour dates listed below). In the following months I will be touring with a few other bands, but that will be a surprise you all will have to just wait for and find out via Twitter & Facebook.

In another JJ news, I’m pleased to announce the name of my next EP will be “And Then There Was”. If you have my previous 2 EP’s ( Chasing The Wind & Oceans) you probably have noticed a semi prominent theme by now.

“ATTW” is going to be the final installment of my EP series, and I want to go out of it with a bang! I’ll be release 5 new Full band songs, along with a couple acoustic songs. This release will be recorded and produced by Dryw Owens (From Indian Lakes & Consider The Thief). The first single, which is yet to be determined, will be released everywhere online March 8th. So be sure to mark your calendar!

Hello everyone, tis’ the season! Time for some fun to come our way with the 2nd annual Post New Years Black & White concert. A special show where you can dress up in your fancy black and white clothes and enjoy a regal night of music and showing off your style.

Last year this event was held at Club Retro in Orangevale, CA and continuing with tradition, it will be held once again at Club Retro. Only this time it will be held down the road in Roseville, CA due to the venue moving locations recently. This year will also feature my full band and some fantastic new opening acts The Prestige, From Indian Lakes & Under His Control.

Hey friends, it’s day four of my November/December West coast/Midwest solo tour. It’s been some fun times. Drove up to Camas, WA and did a concert with a new band called Focus, Focus. It was some rad fun times, with lots of friends. Sunday I lead worship in Philomath, OR. Later that night I drove up to Mollala, OR and concert for the youth at Foothills Community Church in Mollala, OR. On Monday I drove down to Eugene, OR to do a last minute concert and lead worship for New Hope Community Colllege. It was a great time to just come before God in worship and share a little bit of my heart behind my songs.

I’m currently sitting in a coffee shop called Coffee Revolution back in Camas, WA hanging out with my good friend Andy Ziesemer from the rock band The New Divide (Check ‘em out!). We are sipping some delicious coffee and talking about the incredible messed up business known as the music industry, tours, upcoming recording, and placing God in the center of it all.

Tomorrow (November 17th) I’ll be leaving to Idaho for a couple concerts and then off to Colorado for the next couple weeks of gigs. Keep checking back on my Twitter, Facebook, Myspace (But no one really cares about that social network anymore), and here for more news and updates!

Hey friends, I’m facing somewhat of a big dilemma at the moment. My car is on the verge of breaking completely down and is need of a new engine and transmission. I leave for tour next weekend, November 12th and am in need of purchasing these parts and services right away. The other problem I’m facing is I am very low on funds at the moment and I need help via donations.
