But I just wanted to update you guys and let you know I’ll be coming out with a new release this summer.

The release is going to be an EP featuring 2 new songs “Chasing The Wind” & “Away We Go” (1 full band, 1 Acoustic) and 5 songs from my last CD “The Morning Light”. The EP will be entitled “The Chasing The Wind EP” So stay tuned to this sight and my twitter (twitter.com/josiahjames) for the latest updates.

One of the highlighted stories of my tour was definitely yesterday (11/15/09) when me and TND stopped for gas and I went inside to get some breakfast snacks. I came out and was distracted by checking my phone (probably to twitter about something) and I hopped into the van and looked around and noticed the guys weren’t in the van and it was alot cleaner then before (weird? right?). It then dawned on me that I had gotten in the van next to the real one I was traveling in. So I quickly hopped out, made sure nobody saw my clumsy move and got back in the van with TND. Haha, luckily the little old man who owns the other van just got out of the vehicle right before I got in, so he didn’t see me.

The next day after I hopped in the van with the band The New Divide in Vancouver (WA) and took off for our 30 hour trip to Kansas. We’ve been driving since 10:30am yesterday(11/10/09) and are still driving, and it’s 10:03 right now, so we’ve been going on for about 24 hours almost, and still have a few hours left. We’ve had some rad fun times together watching Lost in the Van on laptop (Finished all of Season 3 on the trip, starting on 4 now), stopped by the ever so delicious Taco Bell a couple times, and wendy’s, and some unhealthy treats from gas stations to meet our hungry musician appetites. We also have a box of donated Rockstar drinks to keep us awake for the long trip.

This is the first time I’ve ever toured in a van, and I must say minus the horrible gas mileage it’s a little more fun then driving solo in a Prius (p.s. And yes, I do get the Prius jokes daily, haha). I’m excited for the next couple weeks with these guys. Stopping by Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, & California. It’s going to be one rad tour!

Sacramento’s New & Review Magazine(SN&R) is hosting a Battle of the Band’s competition at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, CA February 21st and I will be performing at this event. The Crest Theater is the 2nd stage of two. The first was hosted at Club Retro(My home venue, if there was one) a few weeks ago and I was super blessed to have passed that round.

The Crest Theater is going to be a really rad and fun show. There will be around 10 bands playing at the venue and in the years passed there has been around 1000 attendee’s, so it should be a blast!
